Electrochemical Energy storage and conversion, such as batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, dye‐sensitive solar cells, water splitting etc., have made remarkable advances over the last decade, and these are expected to play an ever growing role in meeting our energy needs. Critical challenges and opportunities for these electrochemical energy and conversion devices are reviewed. This special issue is a collection of papers contributed by local and international chemists dealing with the recent progress of energy‐related topics that have been popular in many fields, including chemistry, engineering, environmental sciences, physics and material sciences. More discussions will be presented in this issue.
