Four centuries ago, Galilei realized his astronomical observatory, pointing towards the sky the recently invented telescope. Space missions, applications in radio‐astronomy and spectroscopy, and high performing computer simulations, made possible the discovery of rich chemistry in the cosmos and to promote intense laboratory research.
