Manganese oxide octahedral molecular sieve (OMS) materials are outstanding selective oxidation catalysts. This review concerns a summary of synthesis, characterization, and applications of OMS materials. The current development of controls of sizes, morphologies, and the applications of OMS in environmental catalysis, selective oxidations, and others are included.
