Pyrrolo[3,4‐ c ]pyrazole‐4,6‐diones, pyrazoles, pyrazolo[3,4‐ d ]pyridazines, and pyrazolo[3,4‐ d ]pyrimidines were prepared via 1‐bromo‐2‐(5‐chlorobenzofuran‐2‐yl)ethanedione‐1‐phenylhydrazone with N ‐arylmalemides and active methylene. All newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis and spectral data.
