Pummerer‐type reaction was carried out with α‐acyl sulfides and polymer‐supported bis(trifluoroacetoxyiodo)benzene (PSBTI) instead of α‐acyl sulfoxides to prepare 2,3‐dihydro‐5 H ‐1,4‐benzoxathiepins.
