Palladium complexes [( P∼N∼O )PdR]BF 4 containing imine‐phosphine‐ether tridentate donor were prepared. The behavior of an ether donor, a hemi‐labile one, influences the coordination mode of a carbon ligand around the metal center. Reaction of excess styrene with [( P∼N∼O )PdMe]BF 4 results in the formation of [( P∼N∼O )Pd(η 3 ‐CH(CH 3 )C 6 H 5 )]BF 4 , which is characterized by spectral and crystal structural determination. Copolymerization of olefin and carbon monoxide catalyzed by [( P∼N∼O )PdMe]BF 4 is addressed.
