Annocherine C, A New C‐α Hydroxy Benzylisoquinoline and Other Constituents from the Leaves of Annona Cherimola

A new C‐α hydroxy benzylisoquinoline, annocherine C ( 1 ), along with nine teen compounds including six alkaloids, liriodenine ( 2 ), oxoxylopine ( 3 ), oxonantenine ( 4 ), (‐)‐asimilobine ( 5 ), (‐)‐xylopine ( 6 ) and (‐)‐anolobine ( 7 ); four steroids, β‐sitosterol, stigmasterol, β‐sitosteryl‐D‐glucoside and stigmasteryl‐D‐glucoside and nine benzenoids, methylparabene, vanillin, trans‐methyl p ‐coumarate, cis ‐methyl p ‐coumarate, p ‐hydroxybenzadehyde, p ‐hydroxybenzoic acid, 4‐methoxybenzoic acid methylester, methyl vanillate and p ‐dihydrocoumaric acid, were isolated from the leaves of Annona cherimola . These compounds were identified by spectral analysis.
