Our recent work on the spectroscopic studies of diatomic transition metal radicals is briefly presented. Various experimental methods to produce transition metal radicals and obtain electronic spectra using laser spectroscopic techniques are reviewed. Our latest results on the A 2 Π‐ X 2 Σ + transition of TiN using polarization spectroscopy and the C 4 Σ‐ X 4 Σ − transition of VS using laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy are described and preliminary results on these transitions are reported.
