Phytochemistry investigation of the whole plants of Serratula strangulata has led to the isolation of two sesquiterpenes, six flavonoids, and two isoflavonoids. Among these, a sesquiterpene and two flavonoids are new compounds. The structures of these new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and 2D NMR techniques.
