The concentration dependence of the fifth order two‐dimensional Raman signal intensity is reexamined. The instantaneous response of the fifth order signal comes from the fifth order susceptibility. The delayed response of the fifth order signal is consistent with a genuine fifth order Raman rather than a cascading process of the third order nonlinearity.
