We have developed a form of solution to radiation trapping problems by the reduced multiple scattering series. Much of the power of our approach lies its capability to present a complete description of radiation trapping in a straightforward and systematic manner. This paper presents a review of our work. Generalization of the method to incorporating collisional and radiative transfer of excitation is also reported.
