Abstract The triplex formation of diastereoisomers of 2′‐ O ‐methyladenylyl‐3′,5′‐2′‐ O ‐methyladenosine ethylphosphotriesters and 2′‐ O ‐methyladenylyl‐3′,5′‐2′‐ O ‐methyladenosinc methyl phosphonates with polyuridylic acid and polythymidylic acid was monitored by UV spectral mediods. Possible steric effects on the stability of the triplex are discussed with the aid of simulated chemical structures.
