A cytotoxic sterol, 24ξ‐melhylcholestane‐3β,5α,6β,25‐tetrol 25‐monoacetate (1) was isolated from the soft coral Lobophytum mirabile. This polar sterol showed moderate cytotoxicity toward P388 cells.
