Uranyl ion reduction was studied in acetate buffer‐resorcinol medium. Two waves were obtained for all p H. Resorcinol can be used as a maximum suppressor. Complexation of uranium with resorcinol was accompanied by a decrease in diffusion current and shift of half‐wave potential to more negative values. Mixed complexes of acetate and resorcinol were formed with uranium. Resorcinol stabilizes the pentavalent uranium by complexaion.
