The Mössbauer absorption and emission spectra of FeL 2 Py 2 , Fe‐doped ( 57 Fe, M) (L) 2 Py 2 and 57 CoL 2 Py 2 (where, L=acac, dbm and hfa, M=Co or Ni) are reported. It was found that the Mössbauer parameters, especially, quadrupole splittings of 57 Fe in 57 CoL 2 Py 2 exception of 57 Co(dbm) 2 PY 2 are quite similar to those of the corresponding ( 57 Fe, Co)L 2 Py 2 . In addition, the Mössbauer spectra shown that the chemical states of 57 Fe in the hosts of Fe(acac) 2 Py 2 , Co(acac) 2 Py 2 and Ni(acac) 2 Py 2 were not identical.
