C 18 H 19 N 2 I, M r =366.24, monoclinic, space group P 2 1 / n , a=6.298, b=7.659, c=32.579 Å,β=101.54° (from Syntex P l̄ diffractometer), Z=4. D c =1.59, D x =1.58(2) gm cm −2 (by flotation), m. p. 253°C. The compound was solved primarily by heavy atom method. The final R value was 0.067.
