The chemical states of 57 Fe atoms in 57 Co‐labelled cobalt(II) oxinate and in iron(II) oxinate have been studied by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy. Consquently the trivalent charge state of iron atom was found in 57 Co‐labelled hydrated cobalt(II) oxinate, and remarkable difference in Mössbauer parameters of ferrous ion in 51 Co‐labelled cobalt(II) oxinate and iron(II) oxinate complexes are observed.
