Ten new methoxy‐, nitro‐, and halogen substituted 2′‐hydroxy‐4‐carbethoxymethoxychalcones have been prepared by the condensation of 2‐hydroxy‐4‐carbethoxymethoxyacetophenone with substituted benzaldehydes. These chalcones have been converted to the corresponding flavonols.
