Enrichment of chromium was studied by means of Szilard Chalmers process. Potassium chromate was used as the target material. The ruptured chromium was separated from the target by three different methods which gave different enrichment factors in the range of 650–1400. A systematic study was made to investigate the relationship be tween irradiation time and enrichment factor. It was found that the enrichment factor decreases with the increase in irradiation time. The effect of cooling time on the enrichment factor was also studied.
