Through the comparison of spectra of fourty‐nine halogeno‐flavonoids, the origin of the main absorption bands between 1400 cm −1 and 1000 cm −1 is investigated. In addition to various C‐H in‐plane deformation bands, ten kinds of vibrations are tentatively assigned by way of correlating the spectra and structures of these substances.
