A new modified Fehling's solution with p H 10.7 has been prepared for the determination of reducing sugar by means of Eynon‐Lane method in the presence of large amounts of sucrose. The amount of reducing sugar ranging from 14.4% to 0.03% in the presence of 5–20 g of sucrose per 100 ml can be determined. The titre and concentration of reducing sugar relation may be expressed by the equation y=bx ‐m .
