Refractive indices of a series of binary solutions: water‐ p ‐dioxane, p ‐dioxan‐ethyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol‐chloroform, p ‐dioxane‐cyclohexane and cyclohexane‐aniline, were measured to determine polarisability of the related organic liquids with the use of Böttcher's formula for refraction of mixture, on the basis of water data obtained by the liquid‐temperature method.
