The lower boiling point fraction (b.p. ca. 130°/15 mm) of the essential oil of Chamaecyparis taiwanensis was thoroughly studied. p‐Cresol, α‐Thujaplicine and one new tropolonoid were newly identified as the additional components. 1‐Rhodinic acid, Hinokitiol and Terpin hydrate were also identified in this fraction.
