(1) The solubility product of silver chromate was determined from e.m.f. of the cell,by extrapolation of the function,to x=0 and then m=0. K s.p. in the temperature range of 20° to 40°C is expressed by(2) The molal heat of solution of silver chromate was evaluated from the temperature coefficient of 1n Ks.p. and given by(3) The standard potential of the Ag; Ag 3 CrO 4 (s), CrO 4 − electrode was evaluated from E° = π° Ag;Ag+ − k log Ks.p. It is given by(4) The molal free energy change for solution of Ag 2 CrO 4 (s) is given by(5) The molal heat, free energy and entropy change of formation of silver chromate from its elements at 25°C were evaluated.
