Abstract Every organization, no matter how big or small, is a potential target for an increasingly sophisticated group of individuals looking to dip into your bank account without invitation. And these folks don't discriminate. If they can get your banking information and you haven't taken the proper steps to protect yourself, they'll help themselves to your hard‐earned money. This article provides advice on what best practice organizations are doing to protect themselves against the three areas where most are vulnerable: check fraud, p‐card fraud, and electronic payment fraud. © 2011 Mary S.
