There have been warnings for years about the unprecedented loss of knowledge and expertise that will occur when the baby boomers retire—which could bring a potentially catastrophic effect on businesses and government. Why? Most companies don't understand the most effective and efficient way to “transfer knowledge” from one employee to another or even how to begin a project of this magnitude.
