In many organizations, one frequent outcome of the planning and budgeting process is widespread frustration. This article explains why some of these pains exist and how to resolve them. Instead of publishing a white paper or book with our material, we chose a wiki due to its technical capability of being able to interact with other interested parties to comment on our findings. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
