HIV infected TZM‐bl cells were irradiated using a 660 nm diode laser with fluences of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 J/cm 2 . Laser irradiation had damaging effects on the infected cells as shown by the high number of round cells and high Lactate Dehydrogenase enzyme levels. Furthermore, laser irradiation reduced HIV infection in cells as shown by the reduction in luciferase activity as compared to non‐irradiated cells. Further details can be found in the article by Masixole Yvonne Lugongolo et al. on pp. 1335–1344.
