The first two clinical cases of PAD (peripheral arterial disease) treatment using a short nanosecond pulses of a solid‐state laser at 355 nm delivered through a hybrid catheter, (Eximo Medical Ltd.), are presented. Successful recanalization of the occluded arteries, along with a pre‐clinical study constitutes a proof of concept for using a solid‐state pulsed laser at 355 nm in atherectomy. Further details can be found in the article by Herzog Amir et al. on pp. 1271–1278.
