Hyperspectral imagery with enhanced Darkfield microscopy was used for probing and characterizing changes in blood cell components. Unique spectral signatures of ordinary and most common deformed morphologies of red blood cells were identified, showing a preliminary but promising application of the hyperspectral analysis to blood cell screening for clinical use.
