Hyperspectral imaging microscopy of rat lung cryoslices can be used to identify individual pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells (PMVECs) in the presence of a high lung autofluorescence of the same peak fluorescence emission wavelength. PMVECs expressing green fluorescent protein are shown in green, lung autofluorescence is shown in red, and nuclei are shown in blue.
