Acute cerebral ischemic diseases, such as cerebral infarction and cerebral thrombosis, are common and frequently‐occurring diseases among the aged people with a high mortality rate. After the attack of the cerebral ischemic reperfusion disease, certain organ functions were impaired, even worse with the occurrence of multiple organs failure. The failure of various organs could aggravate the original brain injury and further leade death. It was important to study the prevention and treatment of the multiple organ injury induced by cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion especially for lung injury. This review focused on the role of oxygen free radicals inflammatory cytokines in lung injury induced by cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury.
