The worlds of Futures Studies and Design are both concerned with imagining and shaping change. The former uses social science methods to decode and interrogate the models, worldviews and myths that underlie the future scenarios we imagine; the latter offers physical prototypes that allow us to interact with these potential future transformations in the present tense.
