In order to improve the effectiveness of managers, it is imperative that managers need to be supported by information systems. Accordingly, it becomes necessary to design and implement management systems reflecting increasing maturity in interoperability, integration and usage processes so that they can help managers work together. The objective is to create the foundations for responsibility management within an organization by providing information technology based platforms to integrate and coordinate management processes and sharing information across all functional levels and management hierarchies. In this paper, the architecture of a suite of management tools that can aid managers in responsibility management is discussed.
