INCOSE Vision 2025 identifies risk management as one of Systems Engineering's fundamental challenges, noting that “most major disasters such as Challenger and Columbia have resulted from failure to recognize and deal with risks” (INCOSE, 2014). At last year's INCOSE International Symposium, it was proposed that Integral Theory models could help improve both the theory and practice of systems engineering (Devaney, 2015). In this paper, the potential benefits of applying Integral Theory models to risk management are explored.
