An architecture‐driven design process, enabled by tools for system synthesis, simulation, and simulation content management, can be used to efficiently explore design variants at a system level. A case study is presented where this is successfully applied to an electrical system of an unmanned aerial vehicle. In this case, different combinations of electrical motors and propellers were investigated and different types of cooling of the fuselage.
