There is an intense focus in the United States on ways to improve Healthcare Quality. However, the process of measuring quality improvements can be difficult. This paper proposes the use of traditional FMEA techniques on study design, with a goal of improving the quality of the studies themselves. An example study is examined and a FMEA is performed.
