This paper briefly gives an overview about the Systems Engineering application in a multi‐national and multi‐lingual project. At least 6 nations, Airbus and other companies, are developing in one partnership this new military transport aircraft. Based on the contractual, cost, quality and time constraints the engineers have to design the best possible solution for this aircraft. The aim is to give an overview about the practical experience developing a system in an IPT (integrated project team), a multi cultural environment, different historical experience and knowledge of each partner and to show the added value to work with a defined and agreed view of developing a complex system.
