This paper describes ways to enhance conferences using Web‐Based asynchronous techniques and their advantages and disadvantages as compared to a traditional synchronous face‐to‐face conference. The paper also treats the development of the prototype WebConference as a Case Study, discusses the prototyping experiments using the world as a laboratory and provides several lessons about the requirements and systems engineering processes.
