This paper describes the use of EPIC's Systems Engineering Capability Maturity Model (SE‐CMM) within the Systems Group (SG) of Texas Instruments Incorporated. TI's SG has used the SE‐CMM in several ways, some of which have had more utility than others. The utility of each of these uses is discussed in the context of the model's intended use. Additionally, a brief description of the new SE‐CMM Version 1.1 is provided.
