Most commercially available tools that manage requirements are targeted for large projects. Small projects may find them bulky and cumbersome to use for managing a relatively small number of requirements. This paper describes a requirements management tool that is easy to use while providing requirements traceability from upper level specifications to lower level specifications. The tool is called Tracker and is successfully being used on a small project. This paper describes the tool in detail. Advantages and limitations are discussed. A comparison is made to the “INCOSE Requirement Management Working Group Suggested Possible Tool Features”. Benefits and cost estimates are provided. A sample screen and reports are shown and described. Attributes for each requirement is stated and tool performance is discussed.
