One of the biggest challenges facing system engineers is the way in which they interface with the development of the software which implements the desired behavior of the system. Experience has shown that the approach of passing paper specifications between systems and software developers does not yield satisfactorily results. This paper proposes the use of stimulus‐condition‐response threads for controlling software development – for specification, review, and testing.
