The paper presents a method for the integration of Six Sigma producibility, statistical analysis, and risk management techniques into the requirements specification sub‐process of the systems engineering process. Application of the proposed method will identify performance and producibility risks early in the program life cycle. The method requires concurrent engineering and produces metrics intended to compel corrective action. Tools and training to support the method are also discussed.
