Abstract Conductive surface treatment is applied to improve the driving voltage and response time of VA‐IPS liquid crystal devices. The operating voltage can be reduced by 25% with minimum transmittance loss with nano Ag structure. The turn‐on response time can be reduced by more than 50% even at longer electrode distance.
