We investigated the origins of the viewing angle problems caused in single‐domain AH‐IPS LC mode. To enhance the viewing angle property, we applied polystyrene which is well known for realizing zero pretilt angle. But polystyrene has poor alignment stability due to its low anchoring energy. In this paper, we improved alignment stability by employing UV‐curable reactive mesogen and enhanced the viewing angle property by realizing zero pretilt angle with rubbing process.
