This work adopts a method to detect the force signal from z‐directional with a stylus and finger for capacitive touch panels (CTPs). To obtain the accuracy of force signal, the Kalman filter (KF) is utilized to reduce the noise of force signal. Moreover, the directional weighted method is used to achieve the smooth drawing and stroke reconstruction after processing force signal by the KF algorithm. The experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of drawing and stroke reconstruction with both stylus and finger.
