We evaluated the difference in color performance between displays for various maximum luminances of white and various NTSC gamut area ratios. Our results and analyses indicated that either the colorfulness index or the product of the power functions of the maximum luminance of white and the NTSC gamut area ratios or metric chroma could predict the colorfulness of images on displays.
