This paper reviews typical parameters and testing procedures for stereo displays of several technologies. Extinction ratio and variations between the eyes are among the parameters measured to determine image quality and stereo effect. Each 3D technology has unique measurement challenges. In most cases standard photometers (in unique set‐ups) are required.
