We have developed a color‐reflective liquid crystal display with a wide color gamut, wide viewing angle, and motion picture capability. Control over the anisotropy of optical diffusion was achieved by optimizing the internal refractive index distribution using a novel diffusion layer, resulting in a high reflectivity across a wide angle range.
