Alkaline earth sulfide phosphors are known as efficient phosphors with narrow band emissions covering entire visible region and are most suitable for LCD backlight. Due to hygroscopic nature they exhibit poor stability and lower life. Suitable transparent and thermal conducting surface coatings improve the stability and life of LED package.
